About the Role - Consultant Psychiatrist (Child & Adolescent)

  • Contract Type: Self-Employed, Ad-Hoc
  • Availability: Monday–Saturday, 8am–8pm (minimum 2 hours/week)


As a self-employed Consultant Psychiatrist (Child & Adolescent) within Marpe, you will provide specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management for teenage patients presenting with a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, and emerging mood or personality difficulties, as well as supporting our ADHD clinic (optional). You will work flexibly around your existing schedule, within a multidisciplinary team of GPs and therapists, delivering evidence-based, remote care.

Marpe Wellbeing is a digital mental health clinic providing remote consultations across the UK, bringing together GPs, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and psychologists to deliver expert, patient-centred care.


Experience, Skills & Qualifications Required

This is a flexible, ad-hoc opportunity ideal for psychiatrists looking to diversify their caseload without a fixed contractual commitment.


You will have extensive clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health services, demonstrating sound clinical judgement and the ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team. You will communicate effectively with young people, families, and colleagues, manage a remote caseload efficiently, and consistently deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.


Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Medical degree with a postgraduate qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent)
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise, on the Specialist Register (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry)
  • CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Experience working autonomously within CAMHS and/or community neurodevelopmental pathways
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance frameworks and regulatory requirements in mental health services
  • In-depth knowledge of evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adolescent mental health conditions
  • Ability to adapt to digital-first and remote clinical service delivery
  • Enhanced DBS Required
