ADHD Clinic

Welcome to the Marpe Wellbeing ADHD Clinic.

At Marpe, we believe in celebrating neurodiversity and supporting neurodivergent individuals to thrive. We recognise the unique strengths that come with neurodivergence - including, for example, the ability to hyperfocus that many individuals with ADHD experience.

We also understand that ADHD symptoms can sometimes impact day-to-day living, and where this is the case, we offer both non-pharmacological and pharmacological pathways to support you.

If you suspect you may have ADHD and it is affecting your daily life, we are here to guide you through the assessment and treatment process.

Assessment Process

Our initial step involves a pre-screening questionnaire- commonly known as the ADHD Self Reporting Scale. If the results indicate ADHD traits, a formal assessment  with one of our psychiatrists experienced in ADHD may be recommended.

The comprehensive assessment is conducted virtually . We encourage the presence of a family member or someone from your childhood to provide additional historical context for a thorough evaluation.

Management Options

Our approach to ADHD is evidence based and holistic. We follow NICE guidelines.

If you have a  diagnosis of ADHD  and you would like to discuss treatment options, please email us: hello@marpewellbeing.uk.

Pharmacological Management

We carefully consider treatment options based on individual assessments and ongoing monitoring. Where clinically appropriate, pharmacological management may be discussed and initiated safely as part of your personalised care plan. Where this is the case, treatment is coordinated with our trusted partner pharmacy in accordance with clinical guidelines. For further information please contact our team at hello@marpewellbeing.uk

Non-Pharmacological Approaches

This can include structured supportive psychological interventions focused on ADHD. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) may be useful for some individuals.

Pharmacological Management

  1. Medical Evaluation: Following your assessment, a medical evaluation appointment will be arranged. In most cases, where clinically appropriate, treatment will be initiated at this stage. On occasion, your clinician may recommend further investigation before treatment begins.
  2. Treatment Initiation: Where treatment is initiated, an initial 2-week supply will be coordinated with our trusted partner pharmacy. You will also be sent a digital diary to help us monitor your progress — recording key measurements such as blood pressure, pulse and weight.
  3. 2-Week Review: A review takes place at the 2-week mark to assess how you are getting on. Your treatment plan may be adjusted at this stage depending on your response and tolerability.
  4. Ongoing Monthly Reviews: Following your initial review, appointments are typically monthly. The aim of each review is to ensure your treatment plan is working well for you and to make any necessary adjustments until the right balance is achieved.
  5. Shared Care Agreement: After approximately 12 weeks on a stabilised treatment plan, we will typically request a shared care agreement with your NHS GP. This allows your NHS GP to continue your ongoing treatment, with annual reviews continuing with ourselves.
  6. Continuing Private Care: If a shared care agreement is not accepted by your NHS GP, we are able to continue managing your treatment privately.

Disclaimer: Marpe provides assessments, consultations and clinical treatment plans for ADHD as clinically appropriate. Where pharmacological management is indicated, treatment is coordinated with our trusted partner pharmacy in accordance with clinical guidelines. Marpe does not sell, dispense, or supply medications directly.
